Cancellation policy

The following represents an agreement between Sole & Duck (the "Restaurant") and you, and outlines specific conditions relating to your reservation (the "Agreement").

If the Restaurant is unable to perform its obligations under this Agreement for any reason beyond the Restaurant’s reasonable control, including but not limited to: fire; flood or other emergency conditions; or the carrying out of necessary and essential repairs to the Restaurant (or any delay to the completion of such repairs), the Restaurant shall have no liability to you of any kind in respect of such non-performance.

This cancellation policy is subject to change at any time without prior notice.

Party of up to 7 guests

 

Details of a payment card are required to secure the reservation. You will not be charged at the time of reservation. 

Cancellations and partial cancellations must be received by the Restaurant no later than 24 hours prior to your reservation time. To cancel your reservation, please use the cancellation link contained within the reservation notification email or call us on 01223 501776.

In the event that the reservation is not honoured in whole by you or is cancelled with less than the required notice period, the Restaurant may, at its discretion, charge up to £10 per guest in the reservation.

In the event of no-shows, there will be an automatic charge of £10 per guest in the reservation.

Party of 8-20 guests

A deposit of £10 per person is required to secure the reservation. The deposit will be used as part of the payment and deducted from the final bill.

Cancellations must be received by the Restaurant no later than 10 days prior to your reservation time. To cancel or change your reservation, please email us at hello@soleandduck.co.uk or call us on 01223 501776. The deposit will be refundable with a cancellation fee of £50. For instance, for a deposit of £100, a total of £50 will be refunded given at least 10 days of advance notice (e.g. on or before 20th September for a reservation on 30th September). 

In the event that the reservation is cancelled within 10 days, the deposit will not be refunded. Nevertheless, the reservation can be rescheduled and the deposit will be held and deducted from the total bill for a reservation at a future date. For example, for a party of 10 guests, a cancellation within 10 days means that a deposit of £100 will be held by the Restaurant for a future reservation. 

For cancellations within 48 hours, the deposit will be forfeited. 

In the event of no-shows, the deposit will be forfeited.

In the event of partial cancellations without adequate advance notice and on the reservation day, the Restaurant may, at its discretion, charge up to £10 per guest. All pre-ordered items, including those by the absent guests, will be included in the final bill and to be paid for.

Party of more than 20 guests

A deposit of £20 per person is required to secure the reservation. The deposit will be used as part of the payment and deducted from the final bill.

Cancellations must be received by the Restaurant no later than 14 days prior to your reservation time. To cancel or change your reservation, please email us at hello@soleandduck.co.uk or call us on 01223 501776. The deposit will be refundable with a cancellation fee of £100. For instance, for a deposit of £500, a total of £400 will be refunded given at least 14 days of advance notice (e.g. on or before 16th September for a reservation on 30th September).

In the event that the reservation is cancelled within 14 days, the deposit will not be refunded. Nevertheless, the reservation can be rescheduled and the deposit will be held and deducted from the total bill for a reservation at a future date. For example, for a party of 25 guests, a cancellation within 14 days means that a deposit of £500 will be held by the Restaurant for a future reservation. 

For cancellations within 72 hours, the deposit will be forfeited.

In the event of no-shows, the deposit will be forfeited.

In the event of partial cancellations without adequate advance notice and on the reservation day, the Restaurant may, at its discretion, charge up to £20 per guest. All pre-ordered items, including those by the absent guests, will be included in the final bill and to be paid for.
