Chef de partie

Job description

Key Responsibilities

- Provide vital support to the head chef and senior chefs to consistently deliver delicious dishes that meet the restaurant's high standards.

- Work alongside the head chef and other chefs during food preparation and service.

- Take responsibility for a designated section and report to the head chef and senior chefs.

- Maintain productivity levels throughout the shift.

- Adhere to food safety standards at all times and keep the kitchen clean and organised in compliance with health and safety regulations.

- Assist with other kitchen duties as required.

- Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setting up workstations and cleaning up after service.

Experience, Knowledge and Competency

- Must have at least two years of experience as Chef de Partie in fresh food kitchens.
- Experience in fine dining restaurants is a great advantage.
- Capable of running a kitchen section independently.
- Proficient in inventory management, stock rotation and storage for the section.
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Able to stay composed during busy service times.
- Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Salary

- From £500 per week.

- Competitive depending on relevant experience.

Job type

- Full-time with a fixed-term contract.
- 5 days per week (Wednesday to Sunday).
- Must be able to work on Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas Day and other bank holidays as required.
